Founder
Mark Tupa has over 25 years of systems engineering and project management experience within the Department of Defense and other Federal Departments and Agencies.
Mark’s experience covers system architecture and design, integration and test, operational support, telecommunications and network analysis, and training. Mark’s primary expertise is hardware/software integration and test and providing operational support for data processing capabilities.
Mark is a founding partner of Tensley Consulting, Inc. In this role he provides systems engineering and operational expertise directly to customers, supports the development of the technical direction of Tensley, and mentors and trains the next generation of technical experts.
Mark started his career as an officer in the United States Air Force (and later, in the Air Force Reserve) as a computer/electrical engineer and deputy program manager for Intelligence Systems. He continued as a field engineer providing front-line support to deployed military units. Mark’s initial focus in the military was on radio frequency (RF) systems from design to operational support.
After the military, Mark worked for Conquest/Boeing where he continued to focus on RF systems.
During Mark’s time with Applied Signal Technology, his focus changed to processing capabilities and the enabling infrastructure including networking, information technology hardware, and digital signal processing.
Mark has a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
