Michael Merritt

Director, SETA

Michael (Mike) Merritt has over 27 years of experience as a Program Manager and System Engineer managing, supporting and implementing enterprise-level applications and IT architectures for both the commercial and Department of Defense environments.  

Mike is the Director of the System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) Division for Tensley and manages multiple programs within the Division as the Program Manager. Mike began his career working for the Department of Public Safety via an internship from UMBC.

After graduation, he was hired by KPMG to implement a state-wide accounting and reporting system for Maryland and DC. He’s held Program Management positions in the IC, global mobile satellite communications, health care, and pharmaceutical industries.

Mike is currently the Program Manager for two SETA programs supporting the DoD.

Previously, Mike has performed Program Management and System Engineering for programs supporting Foreign Satellite (FORNSAT) capabilities, Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and Radio Frequency Design (RFD).

Mike has a Bachelors in Economics from UMBC and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Robert G. Merrick School of Business from the University of Baltimore along with certifications for Program Management, ITIL Service Management and Scrum Master.
