Kevin Davis

Director of Emerging Technologies

Kevin is a technology leader with over 30 years of experience driving innovation across the NIH, DoD, NSA, and Intelligence Community. He has built his career on solving the “hard problems” of cybersecurity, collaboration technologies, and systems engineering. Long before becoming a leading voice in Zero Trust, Kevin was pioneering telemedicine at the NIH and publishing research on the future of desktop videoconferencing.

As Tensley’s Director of Emerging Technologies, Kevin provides the subject matter expertise required for the federal government and industry to pivot toward Zero Trust (ZT) and modern enterprise platforms. In his capacity as a technical advisor for the NSA ZT team and the DoD CIO ZT PfMO, he helped develop the Department’s foundational ZT strategy and reference architectures.

Kevin is at his best when bridging the gap between big-picture requirements and hands-on engineering. Throughout his career, he has managed strategic partnerships with major technology players like Adobe and Cisco (Tandberg) and led diverse, high-performance teams across the country to deliver high-stakes software and hardware solutions.

Kevin’s approach is shaped by a unique academic foundation: a BA in Philosophy and Math from St. John’s College and an MS in Systems Engineering from George Washington University. This background allows him to view technical challenges through a wider aperture, synthesizing high-level strategy with granular engineering details.
